This two-day workshop will introduce you to the rich variety of butterflies and day-flying moths that are found on Oxfordshire’s chalk grassland.
The course is suitable for all levels, including beginners. You will learn how to identify both the common and rarer species, their habitat requirements and learn how to identify their larval foodplants.
Over the weekend, you will develop the skills to do surveys and monitoring. You will learn the importance of recording, and come away with the knowledge of the habitat management required to conserve these beautiful and important habitat indicators.
The course will combine indoor presentations with plenty of time outdoors on Berrycroft Farm
