Public Transport

Hungerford is well-served by trains from Bedwyn, Newbury, Reading and London Paddington; some long-distance trains to and from the South West also call there. The office is about 20 minutes’ walk from Hungerford station – you can walk along the A4 (there is a pavement); use the canal towpath from just below the station (cycling permitted, can be muddy in wet weather), or follow the lane across Hungerford Common (above the rail line).

There is no bus stop close to the office but buses from Swindon and Marlborough stop on Hungerford High Street.

By car

From Hungerford:

Follow the signs out of Hungerford in the direction of Newbury. Pass the garden centre on the left, after about 500 yards there is a turn on the right leading to a drive (signed McGonnell & Gillatt Equine Veterinary Practice) we are in the second barn on the left. The next turning off the A4 is for Lower Denford; if you reach this you have passed the turning for the office.

From Newbury:

Follow the A4 signposted to Hungerford. Just before reaching Hungerford you will pass a left-hand turn to Lower Denford. The entrance drive to our office is approx. 50 yards beyond this turn on the left-hand side. The office is the second barn on the left.

From the M4:

Follow the signs from the M4 Junction 14 towards Hungerford.  On reaching the first roundabout turn left onto the A4 towards Newbury. Then as from Hungerford (see above).
